Air France Japan Information

Due to the rapid increase in the number of international flights and passengers departing for overseas destinations, airports are currently experiencing heavy congestion. In particular, it may take more than 60 minutes to pass through security checkpoints. It is recommended that you arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight. We also recommend that passengers who have already checked in proceed to the security checkpoint as soon as possible. Roads and parking lots around the airport are very crowded during Golden week, Obon, the year-end and New Year's holidays. We recommend that you use public transportation. We appreciate your cooperation.

To save time at the airport, Air France and KLM have launched an option for departing passengers to scan their passport, ID card, etc. to reflect their check-in information when they check in online. Instead of manually entering passport information as in the past, departing passengers can easily scan it with their smartphone and automatically add their travel document details to the given fields of their check-in information, just as they would be read at an airport check-in machine. By scanning your passport information in advance, you can enjoy a smooth travel experience by eliminating the need for passport checks at the boarding gate even if you are at the boarding gate directly after online check-in.

Toward a Sustainable Future

Air France and KLM actively participate in the development of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). SAF purchased by us reduces CO₂ emissions by more than 75% (on a life cycle basis) compared to conventional fuels. And we have a Corporate SAF program for companies that support us in further promoting the use of SAF. Meet our SAF partners who are participating in this program and helping us work towards a more sustainable future for the airline industry. >Meet our local SAF partners
